PSO Service Award<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PSO Service Award is presented periodically to PSO members who have given years of service to the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It usually consists of a plaque, but artwork or a cash stipend might also be appropriate (at the Board’s discretion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The place and date of the presentation of any special award is at the Board’s discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2016<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Geoff Malosh<\/strong> was presented the first PSO Service award for his work over the last ten years as editor of Pennsylvania Birds. Publishing the four issues a year on time has been a labor of love by Geoff. (Greg Grove will take over as editor with the next issue of Pennsylvania Birds.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n The last award was another PSO Service award given to Shonah Hunter<\/strong> for all her work organizing the PSO meetings that we have all enjoyed over the years. She has been the driving force behind all the negotiations with the motels\/hotels where the meetings have been held, getting the Saturday and Sunday morning breakfasts set up on time for early rising birders, and the Saturday dinner menus and caterers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Margaret and Roger Higbee<\/strong> and Deb and Greg Grove<\/strong> were presented with Special Service Awards for their long-time service to the PSO<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" PSO Service Award The PSO Service Award is presented periodically to PSO members who have given years of service to the organization.
