Conservation Project
We hope you will join us on Friday, June 19, from 1 โ 3 pm, to help with some native wildflower plantings at a local park in Duncansville, Pa and to do some eBirding while we explore Duncansville Memorial Park. The park is located just 15 minutes (4 miles) from the PSO Birding Festival at the Blair County Convention Center/Country Inn and Suites. Weโll meet up with Eric Fritz, Duncansville Mayor and part of the steering committee for Duncansville Bird Town, who will explain our 2-hour project. Weโll also check out the new Chimney Swift tower and Purple Martin houses provided by the PA Game Commission.
Meeting location: 821 8th Ave. Duncansville, PA. Continue to the end of the street and youโll see parking on your right.
What you should bring: binoculars, gloves, hat, sunscreen, insect spray, any necessary meds and personal care items. Wear long pants. Bottled water will be provided. Restrooms are available at the park and located just to the right of the parking area.
